Even a brief sighting of a wild kirin is said to bring good fortune...but especially of those with the runes in their horns. Stories swear that a small band of woodland druids would bring offerings to the creatures in the forest every autumn, gently carving symbols of long life into the antlers of those that approached. Elders say that the kirin with those runes never die, and that their antlers never drop in the winter. They live on to pass just a little bit of luck to the travelers and wanderers that just so happen to spot them.
